Designing Technology Rich Curricula
If you’re in this online class with me at the University of Florida, welcome to my blog! My goals are described in the blog header. My blog focuses on issues related to technology in education, particularly primary education (I teach kindergarten). This has been a great communication tool for a technology focus group in my school. Several of the teachers in my building have blogs that chronicle ways they have used technology to enhance curriculum. You will notice references to my colleagues and their work in prior posts. This is my final course in the online Master's degree program. I will graduate in May.

Hi Lynn,
It's good to "see" you in clas again. From the looks of your blog, you've been at it quite awhile. The ongoing blog your school has must be a tremendous communication & resource tool for the faculty!
How's the weather there? I'm flying into Omaha on the 17th of this month. We're headed to my husband's home town to celebrate his Grandma's 85th birthday. It should be a nice time.

Lynn,
I share your enthusiasm and interest in helping others incorporate technology into their learning environment. I look forward to reading past postings of your blog to get ideas and more insight on your experiences. And an early congratulatory note on your Master's accomplishment! I bet the hard work and the collaborative learning has been worth it!

Hi, Lynn! Thanks for your post to my Blog. It does sound like we have a lot in common. It has been an interesting couple of years as we try to get people on board the Technology Train. I tend to get a bit impatient when people don't see the importance of technology; but then I remember that everyone is at a different place on the continuum and the surest way to bring people along is consistent exposure to the benefits of using technology.
I had an interesting experience last year when I went to visit an area private school for three days, where they require all students in grades 5-12 to own a Tablet PC. It was positively the most amazing experience; I was a witness to the true meaning of seamless and transparent integration of technology. Needless to say, it was difficult to leave the Land of Oz and return to Kansas. It required reworking the vision to apply to our public school district. I'll blog about this experience in further depth, as it had a profound effect on me. Talk to you soon!
Lynn,
I just want to tell you how much I respect your work and appreciate the help you've given me in the courses we've had together. I plan to share your comic strip idea with my teachers.
I know you're about to wrap up your course work, but I sure hope you continue to blog long after you graduate.
Lynn,
I really like your blog. I am thinking of having my students make their own comic with comic life. There are so many pieces of literature redone in graphic novel form that they would enjoy trying their hand at it.
